‘Interdependence’ was a global campaign patronized by United Nations on raising awareness on Environment & Climate Change, organized by Art for the World, an NGO associated with United Nations Department of Public Information (UNDPI) based in Geneva, Switzerland. The ‘Interdependence’ campaign was promoted globally through 11 short films one, of which was made specifically in the Indian context on Delhi’s Air Pollution, Directed by internationally renowned film maker Nila Madhab Panda. GAIL, partnering ‘Interdependence’, had made a pitch for playing a significant role in providing ‘Clean Energy & Beyond’ for better environment & sustainable living considering ‘Environmental Responsibility’ as one of the core elements of its vision statement. Interdependence campaign, patronized by UN, is a global campaign which amplifies & reinforces the pitch on ‘Environmental Responsibility’, not only in India, but also globally. 11 filmmakers had joined forces to raise awareness on Environment and Climate Change. Started in 2018, the project explored in a sensible and creative way the position of humankind and nature. The key stories illustrated by the 11 internationally recognized filmmakers reflected the intertwined relations between human society and natural environment that are aggravated by climate change on multiple dimensions and scales, hinting at possible solutions.
